Dr. Jheymmy Ortiz

Dr. Jheymmy Ortiz is the head of Radiation Therapy at Cancun Oncology Center and the only Radio Oncologist in Quintana Roo. Trained as a radio oncologist and graduated from the General Hospital of Mexico City (UNAM), certified by the Mexican Radiotherapy Council.

She is currently co-governor of the chapter of the Mexican Society of Oncology in Quintana Roo and an active member of the Mexican Society of Radio-Oncology and Oncology, as well as a member of the American Society of Radiotherapy and an active member of the Bioethics Committee of Hospital Galenia.

She has been the author of various investigations, both national and international, among which the “Prevalence of breast cancer and behavior in women under 35 years of age” stand out. She currently divides her time in medical research as well as teaching classes, being a professor of oncology at the Anahuac University in the city of Cancun, Quintana Roo.

The doctor is an active collaborator in social assistance foundations, among the organizations in which she is part, the Fundación Grupo Salvati and Fundación Grupo Desafio stand out.
