Surgical Oncology is one of the pillars for the multimodal treatment of cancer. At Cancun Cancer Institute multimodal treatment is available, that is, the combination of the three Cancer treatments.<\/p>\n<p>WHAT IS IT FOR?<br \/>\nCancer surgery is responsible for removing cancer cells, either in the organ that gave rise to it, or in distant organs. The intention of the surgery can be in a curative or palliative context.<\/p>\n<p>HOW DOES IT WORK?<br \/>\nSurgical treatment is carried out under oncological principles. Survival has been shown to be increased in those patients who are operated on by an Oncologist Surgeon.<\/p>\n<p>WHEN IS IT REQUIRED?<br \/>\nOncological surgical treatment is indicated in patients with early clinical stage and locally advanced with curative intention.
